This project explores the relationship between editorial design, illustration, and craft through a hand-bound book created using Japanese stab binding. The book combines my own visual designs with a curated selection of poetry focused on themes of life and art.
I designed the layout and visual elements for each page, considering pacing, balance, and the relationship between text and imagery. After completing the page designs, I printed, assembled, and bound the book by hand, documenting the binding process as part of the project.
The final piece reflects my interest in tactile design, traditional bookbinding techniques, and the physical experience of printed work.
