This conceptual wine label was inspired by Blatina, an indigenous red grape variety from Herzegovina. The design blends contemporary packaging structure with traditional Bosnian textile motifs, referencing handmade rugs and woven patterns that symbolize heritage, craftsmanship, and place.
A restrained color palette and textured background create contrast with the bold woven band, allowing the cultural elements to feel intentional rather than decorative. Typography was chosen to balance clarity and elegance, ensuring the label remains legible and commercially viable while still telling a story.
This project explores how cultural identity can be translated into modern wine packaging, honoring tradition without feeling nostalgic or outdated.
The front label focuses on simplicity and hierarchy, allowing the texture and pattern to serve as the primary visual element, while typography remains restrained and elegant.
The back label expands on the concept through storytelling, connecting the craftsmanship of traditional textiles with the winemaking process.
